Get ready to run, duck, hide, outwit, and outmaneuver your opponents as you take to the streets of Ghent to survive in the most epic race for your life. It’s part tag, part footrace, part zombie apocalypse. Do you have what it takes to Survive Norfolk? Again?

This year’s game will allow 3,000 participants!!

Pre-registration is now closed; there will be 800 armbands available at check-in the day of the event.

EVERYONE starts out as a human- you have 2 hours to find 4 checkpoints and make it back to the starting point without getting tagged by a zombie. Get caught and you become a zombie yourself. Good luck!

Checkpoints will not be revealed in advance. Maps will be available 24 hrs before the event.

Check-in starts at 6pm. Game starts at 8:30pm. The 757’s first ever SILENT DISCO  will be underway during gameplay, courtesy of Silent Storm Sound System and dj’d by the fabulous Shadowlawn Creepers crew. Don’t know what a silent disco is? Time you learned!

Looking for something to do afterwards? Hit up one of many post-Apocalypse parties throughout Ghent: Belmont House of Smoke and Colley Cantina for starters!

Survive Norfolk is 18+ only. All participants must sign a waiver and provide proof of age at check-in. Waivers will be available to download closer to the event and will be available at check-in.

Have we mentioned that we’re attempting the Guinness World Record for World’s Largest Game of Tag? In order to do so, ALL participants must check-in when they are done playing, zombie or not. It doesn’t matter how long you stay in the game, just head back to the starting point to let us know you are finished.

Survive Norfolk is rain or shine. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. If the weather becomes too dangerous for people to be outside, a message will go up on Facebook and the website letting people know if it is cancelled.

Survive Norfolk is inspired by similar games that have taken place in DC and Raleigh. Thank you for inspiring us and for sharing your vision and creativity.

We’ve since helped spread the evil as well in places such as Longview (WA), Davidson College, Johnson City (TN), Duluth (MN), and have talked with  individuals from over a dozen cities in the US, Canada, and even the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq on how they can start up their own version of zombie tag.
